With #inktober starting up, I feel like I need to ask what do *you* (as an artist participating in the event) look for in it ? Are you showing off your sick skills for engagement / a portfolio ? Are you pushing the limits of your creativity ? Are you making daily silly little drawings as a challenge because it’s fun ? All three are valid (I think), It’s just that as a beginner who never could really stick with visual arts (despite liking following basic tutorials), I want to understand this event better. Maybe some external validation is what I need to get my foot in the door ? If so I may try to participate next year, if I have more free time/skills 😅
