That attitude of “we don’t want to tell our Covid-conscious friend/loved one about our recent/current Coviding because we don’t want them to ‘freak out’ about it, especially if we have in-person plans with them” is *precisely* why nobody is permitted in my orbit.
You think it’s fine to deny someone agency and consent regarding their literal physical existence? Get outta here with that mess.

You cannot exposure-therapy with Covid. This is not a “what they don’t know won’t hurt them” situation. If you knowingly expose someone to Covid (or any virus, really) with the sanctimonious notion that it’s no big deal and whoever you’re potentially infecting will be all the better for it, you are, in fact, the asshole.
