Lonely cat ladies have always been a male psyop to make women afraid of being single. I’m sure some exist, but for the most part, cat ladies are baddies with options. Not trying to flex but even I had a bunch of people throw their hat into the ring when I announced I’m in my single era. I was surprised until I started talking to other divorced women, even ladies in their 50s and 60s have their “pick of the litter” so to speak. Many CHOOSE to live alone even if they’re dating because they’re done being the household manager. Others don’t date at all, but aren’t lonely because they have time for friends, hobbies and activism.
