Support's response was, "You're not on Windows?"
I continued, "There is not a single Windows machine in this house. Nor do I use a Mac. I use a Linux distro."
Support sounds confused, "What did you say you used?"
"Linux. Well we have several different distros in this house."
Long pause from support and then softly, "Can you spell that for me?"
"Sure! L.I.N.U.X."
Support continues, "Oh. Um, we usually just do the phone wizard connection."
I stop them.

"It's okay, it's just a PPPoE connection. Just give me a moment to make the configuration changes in my terminal." Support pauses, then goes, "Oh okay. Let me know when done." So I do the changes with a few firewall modifications with them trying to tell me my account username/pass. "Done!" I smile down the phone. Support is reassured and can see the connection. Sadly, we're now just sitting in a waiting period cause this sucks. But... I am sad. Support did not know the term "Linux" (3/3)
