Today actually is #BisexualVisibilityDay, I've been identifying as Bi since I found out that was an option by reading books on sexuality in jr high.
It seems very simple to me, but it's been interesting living my life with this label that has so much baggage, stigma, and history attached to it.
None of which I knew when I picked it up, but I don't want to reject any of it, all bisexuals in history are my comrades and I refuse to reject them.

I have had very well meaning friends try to get me to adopt "pansexual", or any of a number of Tumblr micro-labels. But, I think self-identity works best when it's legible, and everyone knows what a bisexual is. My grandma might be scandalized, but she lived through the 90's, she knows what I'm talking about.
