@Johns_priv@mastodon.social @QasimRashid@mastodon.social The only witness is the survivor, who’s a drunk who bought a gun and didn’t bother to get trained in how to use it. It’s unfortunately completely believable that he accidentally shot her trying to prove he was storing it safely, which seems to be what started the argument, with the Trump conflict being an exacerbating factor. The prosecution should have pursued other charges, though. Reckless endangerment comes to mind, but NAL.
