It's really hard to give a shit about Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar/Take2's union busting bullshit, and it just generally feels overhyped. It's also really hard to give a shit about big events like Gamescom or The Game Awards when it has become increasingly clear that a lot of the games being announced or released have the goal of making bank more than working towards a beautiful work of art. Like, bringing back Tupac's likeness for that one game with Snoop Dogg - it just feels icky. It's hard to be excited about shiny new games when the hardware able to play them increasingly becomes unobtanium due to unchecked greed. The indies deserve way more spotlight, now more than ever.
