Whoever thought that giving #Eclipse two systems for installing and updating components (the Eclipse Marketplace and the Software Update Sites) was in any way a good idea should be taken out back and shot. Then revived, waterboarded, and shot again. It's fine to have the store as a idiot-GUI for discovering and installing extensions, but for all that is good and holy (which explicitly excludes Eclipse for aforementioned reasons), make "Check for Updates" actually check for updates like a normal person, instead of only checking for *some* updates.
