Personally speaking, I didn’t really want to go see it but went with a friend who did. Even if I had seen the trailers and known the premise, any indication of it possibly being religious or having a very religious character would have pushed me away from it. There are a lot more mediums and availability of entertainment competing for people’s time these days, I won’t waste a moment on some old white guy’s religious bullshit. The thing about religion is that it is invasive and all corrupting. Religious people are taught from a young age that all good things come from god, ALL OF THEM.

Yeah, I’d only make that mistake if I literally heard nothing about it and completely ignored the poster with Ryan Gosling on it when walking up to the box office.
