so anyway we just got to the subtraction words in our review, and are trying hard to remind ourselves how it should be. heh.

and then, of course, there's the instruction Intel calls CMP, which simulates subtraction without actually doing it and the instruction Intel calls TEST, which simulates bitwise-and without actually doing it
