TIL how to do multipart tar archives of specific sizes.. it's too early for this..
(Trying to be a responsible member of a community and submitted a bug report for the build issues I was having and bugzilla didn't allow for attachments over 1M)

In case anyone's curious: tar cf some_big_file_{1..100}.tar -L 896 some_big_file Will create up to a hundred files of 896x1024 bytes (I think the number needs to be dividable by 8.. maybe? It kept giving me issues when it wasn't but the man pages are not very clear on this)
