#3GoodThings (rewatched the brilliant, Magnolia) 1. Its critique of toxic masculinity. Tom Cruise is astonishing. 2. Its critique of Hollywood's abuse of children. The damage caused, mostly by fathers, is captured by the grotesque, plague-ish scene of the raining frogs. The cancer that courses though the bodies of the characters is another plague. 3. Its magnificent script/acting/score. Cruise, Julianne Moore, John C. Reilly, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Melora Walters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72fDsC2kX7g
