I have performed the deliberately slow and difficult procedure and I'm ready for FDroid 2.0 on my daily driver. On a 2nd phone, I've had GrapheneOS going for several months, and I've tested my critical apps over there, obtained via Fdroid and Aurora app store that front-ends play store. A few commercial apps, like Costco and Canadian Tire app didn't work well the last time I tried, but I can just use a browser instead. I am ready. #degoogle https://www.theregister.com/applications/2026/09/24/f-droid-app-store-thumbs-its-nose-at-googles-dev-crackdown/5298974
