It is of course just the uncontroversial - factual - bit of MMT - it doesn't go into the more contentious policy implications (such as the government's ability/duty to create full employment).

Maybe the latter could then be viewed as ... wages/salary [or denial of income] being a system of protecting the value of endeavour....
