Seriously there has been maybe 3-4 posts about GTA 6 on this community in the last 2 months and every single one of them is full of people whining that they don’t want to hear about it. It’s so overblown.
GTA 6 is one of - if not the - highest budget games ever made. In one of the most popular and successful franchises of all time. It’s the biggest release of the last few years whether they like it or not. Now… You’re telling me we should stop talking about it in gaming communities because Lemmy users want to get back to talking about Linux and whatever 6/10 open source game is doing the rounds?
Sorry for the harshness but these posts and comments are so annoying. If you don’t want to talk about AAA games then why are you in the gaming community?
P.S. I’ve seen posts talking about GTA or any major company (PlayStation, Nintendo, Bethesda, etc) just get huge amounts of downvotes on this platform because “we’re tired of hearing about it”. Why do people do this??? Just move on to the next post.

I wouldn’t be as annoyed by hearing about it if Rockstar were an upstanding company. The union busting though means they should not be given any good PR at minimum, and ideally none. I don’t care if people want to discuss big games. We shouldn’t accept positive discussion of games that are made by companies who treat their employees poorly. That should be a bare minimum rule people on this platform hold to. I don’t care how excited you are for the game. You don’t get to promote it.
