The neighbour's cat has been drinking from the bird bath like he's never seen water before.
Meanwhile I am watering the garden by hand from the refilled water butts as there is no rain forecast for at least another week.

It's not much, maybe the equivalent of a very short shower, bit hopefully enough to just keep things hanging on until there is more substantial rain. Cooler temps too, so better chance of retaining it rather than it all just evaporating away.
