If so they'd be reverting Fort Mac and the Athabasca tar pits back to NWT. Borders of a theoretically-independent Quebec came up as a debate during that time also, remember. Or perhaps separation as province doesn't even create a new country, but merely dissolves the provincial government and the whole thing ends up being part of NWT again? That would make Danielle cry again. I'd be curious to know how constitutional scholars see this scenario unfolding without 'extra-legal' happenings.
