Tired: "homo sapiens" defined as those who “conquer” other people for profit/power, and mindlessly use resources for their own gain without thinking of consequences…And then sell lies that this is a “civilized" way to live.
Wired: "homo sapiens” as those who recognize the above way of living is not sustainable, just, or civilized.
Inspired: “homo sapiens” will earn the title when they change cultures enough so the cultures all recognize, and find ways to keep dominance based jerks from power.

imagine naming yourself “wise human” and then engaging in things as stunted and stupid as wars, or creating social hierarchies and extreme inequities. Seems to me, truly wise humans would: be able to recognize unhealthy, stunted and unfit cultural norms, policies and laws as such, and then: simply refuse to go along with them. The fact that we have a chunk of folks who consistently fail to recognize or stop abusive ways of “ruling over” others… makes the term “homo sapien” laughable, imo.
