imagine naming yourself “wise human” and then engaging in things as stunted and stupid as wars, or creating social hierarchies and extreme inequities.
Seems to me, truly wise humans would: be able to recognize unhealthy, stunted and unfit cultural norms, policies and laws as such, and then: simply refuse to go along with them.
The fact that we have a chunk of folks who consistently fail to recognize or stop abusive ways of “ruling over” others…
makes the term “homo sapien” laughable, imo.

True, it’s -very- difficult to fight against violence prone jerks without also resorting to violence, and groups assaulted by “conquering” colonizing cultures were and still are at huge disadvantages. But the fact that we still have despots able to -rise- to power in 2026 means that authoritarian notions that should be easily seen as stunted and unhealthy ...are not seen that way by a chunk of humans. And also: that lack of knowledge among some continues to be weaponized and encouraged
