Short, unsigned ruling; “unlikely to succeed on merits”.
Kavanaugh concurred but thinks it could succeed, but is concerned about the late timing for this election.

Alito and Thomas dissent, with a longer opinion. Bottom line: bad news for the executive order and new USPS rules. At least six of the justices appear to think it will likely lose on the merits. In any case, the new mail voting restrictions are dead for at least the midterms. @heidilifeldman@mastodon.social
