This thing supported up to 4 pens simultaneously via some crazy USB hub contraption that i'm sure will never see the light of day but you bet your sweet bupkis if it ever does i'll buy it

there's an intriguing possibility here , considering it is USB, of adding light pen support to a modern computer. "But flat panels don't support light pens," you might say. And I would say, yes, but, there's a way around that. If you have a high refresh display, like my 165Hz OLED, what you could do is when the tip-button is pressed against the screen you could very quickly show checkerboards of increasing resolution to determine the pen position. You can't track a cursor live, but you can tell where the pen gets touched.
