there's an intriguing possibility here , considering it is USB, of adding light pen support to a modern computer.
"But flat panels don't support light pens," you might say. And I would say, yes, but, there's a way around that.
If you have a high refresh display, like my 165Hz OLED, what you could do is when the tip-button is pressed against the screen you could very quickly show checkerboards of increasing resolution to determine the pen position.
You can't track a cursor live, but you can tell where the pen gets touched.
