This is my stupidest camera. The camera body was made in [West] Germany, but I’m only confident that it was before the mid-1950s. The lens and shutter though I can date pretty precisely on serial numbers, and they were made in 1929-1931. Still clicking along beautifully.

Why would you try to take photographs with an impractically heavy camera and a nearly hundred year old lens, in a wildly inconvenient format? What’s the virtue of doing something so patently more difficult for no reason? This, I ask on a social network renowned for its linux posting
