anyway, it’s fascinating just how different these books are from all the other Japanese media I’ve read. it’s like I’m reading actual queer fiction lol. not just in the sense that the characters are gay - but in that queer issues are actually present and get addressed. which is especially wild considering this is a fucking video game isekai story 😅 though it is possible that my view is somewhat tainted by the fact that I usually avoid anything serious outright, and seek out more comedy-focused media in general.
