There are indeed some great self-help books out there, but they are more about pathology and healing rather than daily purpose and contemplation.
In my latest podcast, I spoke with Eric Oliver, the author of a new book that develops a personal and ethical system for non-religious people.
You don't have to accept what he says, but the topics he raises are very much worth discussing. https://plus.flux.community/p/non-religious-people-still-need-to

Another reason that secular people in general need to engage with the science and philosophy of mind is that it helps people understand why current AI systems are not anything close to conscious entities. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who think the chatbot they use is alive. That's bad for them and bad for society.
