Not sure that was really the argument being made. As I understand it, the claim is that humans may have evolved independently on different continents. Perhaps even independent evolution of the ability to stand on two feet.

    @cjd@pkteerium.xyz @Bernard@friends.ravergram.club @nimrod@shitposter.world a common ancestor could still be possible, but i suspect the first humans of south africa and africa bred with apes and produced devolved humans. this is why those peoples have such low IQs, had no prehistoric great works or historical significance, and resemble apes to this day.
