@cjd@pkteerium.xyz @Bernard@friends.ravergram.club @nimrod@shitposter.world a common ancestor could still be possible, but i suspect the first humans of south africa and africa bred with apes and produced devolved humans. this is why those peoples have such low IQs, had no prehistoric great works or historical significance, and resemble apes to this day.

Hence my question: Is it known whether independently evolved "similar species" can often cross-breed successfully? If the answer is known to be no, then that implies a common ancestor is likely.
