"chat, are you seeing this?", "chat, what do you think about this?", "chat, please stop spamming". or it might be used in the third person "chat told me to do it", "i knew to do that because chat explained why". like sure, it's an omniscient kind of group i guess? but it's just second and third person.

  • @sodiboo@gaysex.cloud @luna@lunar.place right, but when you ask "chat, are we cooked" and you are not in a livestream, you don't actually expect an answer. So it is used with the grammatical rules of 2nd person, but with a different intention and meaning behind it
