I spent 2 weeks in Scotland in August, riding MTB first, then hiking a little. Luck was with me, and the weather was nice.
I promised I would post photos, too, so here we go.
This was taken West of Aberdeen, on our way to Aboyne. I love the abundance of heather.

I had rented an eMTB, and that was good. Here we were riding up to the head of "Heart Break Ridge", a rocky trail between Aboyne and Ballater. Our friend's motor has just died, and he had to go back down. #MTB
