I had rented an eMTB, and that was good. Here we were riding up to the head of "Heart Break Ridge", a rocky trail between Aboyne and Ballater.
Our friend's motor has just died, and he had to go back down.

Trails in Scotland seem to be mostly rock. Over here, in CH, rocks are limestone. Super slippy when wet. Over there, they are granite and not slippy. It took time for me to trust them... The is Heart Break Ridge, a popular trail.
