Then I get home to see there’s some kind of pneumonic plague lab leak in Russia? And people are asking Ai who to vote for? Well, at least they’re asking ChatGPT and not Grok. Or maybe they are.. We’re screwed anyway. Yesterday’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver mentions 2028 being referenced by the Secret Service as ‘Armageddon’…

@gedeonm@mastodon.social This may sound nuts. Hear me out; I actually think this is good! I’ve been writing a post on it. AIs are basically consensus information providers. They remove crazy from the top and bottom. While they hallucinate, they’re better information authorities than some people, because they’re not bad-faith actors. They also have complete context, so they catch the world’s Benny Johnsons in lies. All three big AI companies gave variations of the same answers.
