@decryption@aus.social @lilstevie@infosec.exchange had a friend see a quote for a replacement (new) server go from $20k to $50k. For lower specs. The 5 year warranty bonus has become unaffordable for a lot of places so they're rolling the dice on refurb kit. Buy 1 for production, a second (and maybe third) as hardware replacements. For when you need something but new is just unaffordable its the best you can do.
