In the UK, for electricity generation, power from burning natural gas is about the same level as power from nuclear was in 2015.
I feel like it would be cool if we could simply replace gas with nuclear, though I know nothing about the logistics and whether it's even possible!
Does anyone know why our use of nuclear power has been gradually declining for 10 years?

@cassolotl@eldritch.cafe not 100% but top of my head (from memory not guessing but you know grain of salt) I think alot of existing plants are reaching end of life and going off line, so we're waiting on sizewell and now msybe small modular although how much of that will happen and how much is hype *shrugs*
