I would also like to add, while most disabled people are not able to work, we are a walking economic stimulus package.
Do you have any idea how many people I would employ if given enough resources to take care of myself? Pharmacists, food services, physical therapists, psychologists, home supports, transportation....
A high tide floats all boats. Support disabled people and lift the whole fekkin economy up too.

I am not "economically viable" by the current ridiculous standards of our capitalist hellscape but I am capable, competent, creative and hella motivated. If we were given a chance to contribute in a meaningful way outside of scraping by with whatever we can manage we would be an incredible asset to society. Every single disabled person I know has so much to give to society but is repeatedly blocked and denied access. 😩
