I’m all stocked up on disposable face masks again.
It was a pleasant surprise to me to see how much wearing a mask helps on days when the pollen or pollution counts are high, too.
They’re not only for disease prevention.
I would have started wearing them decades ago if I had known they were helpful in those other situations, too.

@lydiaschoch@mastodon.social A #respirator is also good for pongy jobs like turning over the compost. It doesn't eliminate the smell completely, but it certainly helps.
