@glyph@mastodon.social Would MS actually dispute the claim that windows contains LLM generated code? That would be very easy to prove if it became a matter of legal record.

It seems like it would be hard, but they have some theory of how they are going to do indemnification of all their customers that presumably some lawyers actually looked at, and they've had it since the beginning: https://blogs.microsoft.com/on-the-issues/2023/09/07/copilot-copyright-commitment-ai-legal-concerns/
