@Crell@phpc.social I wouldn’t call SQLite’s type system “mediocre”. It’s intentionally untyped by design and works as intended (views are the one leak I know of, such don’t preserve affinity). You could call it untyped, that would be fair. But certainly not mediocre.

@Crell@phpc.social Agree 99%, except with "SQLite Replaces Redis". Yes, you can do caching with SQLite, but I also do interprocess (or even intermachine) messaging through Redis using RPUSH/BLPOP on lists. I don't think there's any SQLite equivalent to this. You give an example of "SQLite as a Queue" but AFAICS if the queue is empty the receiver will need to keep polling it. With BLPOP in Redis the receiver just waits and gets woken up when a message becomes available.
