I think that macOS Golden Gate was the first time that I had an immediate increase in stability when running a first release of a public beta. This really says a lot about how *bad* macOS Tahoe actually was. From the look and feel to the stability, I just feel like Tahoe was one of the worst releases of an OS that they've ever made. It's at the point where I want to be clear that I'm not giving them credit for Golden Gate being more stable. It should have been like this from the start.
