Today I learned that Liu Hui, Chinese mathematician from the Three Kingdoms period (around 3rd century CE), explained how to calculate areas of different polygons, and calculated the value of pi to 5 digits. @Ashedryden@xoxo.zone I've felt this. I've been searching for alternative ways to get music only to find albums don't get sold anymore; it's always Spotify. It's a crushing pressure from the industry. FOMO to the max level. I'm stubborn and I can take it, but most people - especially teenagers - don't have what it takes to resist the encroachment of techno feudalism on entertainment. And I even miss hearing my old music.

Idea: Escape the system. You start in a classic cyberpunk city, surrounded by e-surveillance. Little by little you need to remove your dependency on the system: Smart appliances, smart TVs, Subscription apps, and little by little you have to learn blue collar skills. Next you downgrade your washing machine. Next, your AC, and so on. The end game is saving enough money to purchase a small patch of land and starting a farm there. #Cyberpunk #Solarpunk

Yesterday I fixed the main door! :blobcheer: The bottom strip of wood had gotten loose and began making noise with the carpet. I unscrewed the door, took away that thin strip of wood, marked a 1x2 piece of pine I had around, and cut it to size using my table saw. It took 2 cuts to get it right; after the second pass it fit perfectly inside the door. I proceeded to glue it with 16 clamps. I saved myself 40 USD in repairs, yay! 🥳 #Woodworking
