GenX, raised in the old south escaped to NorCal, will die here.

Woodworker, fixer, maker, sucker for lost causes. Environmentalist, biomass encourager, fan of insects, lover of tinned fish, my life is nearly 100% electric.

Not anti technology just anti getting screwed by technology. Feel I spend entirely too much time arguing with tech that wants to do things I didn’t ask for.

I’m so atheist I don’t even believe religious people actually believe.

#shellknew #exxonknew so did #gm and #ford politicians knew too. #fires #floods #famine #drought #climatecollapse is not a surprise. We knew it was coming 60 years ago but chose profits over our own children #gaia https://www.desmog.com/2026/07/29/the-lovelock-papers-shells-hidden-climate-knowledge-under-scrutiny-as-court-battle-looms/

@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org I’m a habitual estate sale browser… it is alarming how many older home have gas cookstoves and zero range hoods. And I’m in California This company is making induction ranges with a battery which eliminates having to run a 60 amp circuit. The stove is more expensive but you don’t have to hire an electrician. Some utilities offer rebates too… #electrifyeverything https://copperhome.com/products/charlie

“This is bigger than all the biggest crises combined, and therefore huge,” he said in an exclusive Guardian interview. “I still cannot understand that the world was so blindsided, that the global economy can be held hostage to a 50km strait.” Wasn’t the world just one easily bribed dumbass. Thanks for the Monday pick-me-up bestest Cory on this planet! @pluralistic Also, China wouldn’t be where they are, with renewables manufacturing, without the first Trump admin letting them run the table tying up minerals all over the world while we were busy locking up kids and hawking ivermectin https://pluralistic.net/2026/05/04/hope-in-the-dark/

“So when the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for the genocidaire Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump had Microsoft shut down the court's IT systems. The Chief Justice of the ICC lost his Office 365 account, which means he can't access his email archives, his working files, his calendar or his address books. He can't even log in to his non-Microsoft accounts because they're tied to his Outlook email address.” Let that sink in https://pluralistic.net/...

I know a cattle rancher that has a #monarchtractor He seems to be pleased with it. Like the auto sector, I believe #autonomy has been one of the bigger impediments to #electrification . We desperately need to stop burning shit, there are plenty of meat sacks to hold a wheel. We are wasting time and resources building things to dominate a dying planet. Just make a useful affordable electric tractor FFS! Keep MBAs away from engineers #ev #rivian #lucid #tesla https://futurism.com/robots-and-ma...
