  Or the scale of the fine can be expressed as a percentage of the assets and revenues, to make the fines genuinely dreadful. Never mind right sizing the fines. I keep operating from the assumption that we are dealing with largely reasonable people who have a bad take and are correctable. Make guillotines great again. No new taxea, no fines, no jails, straight to the public square guillotine with this level of malfeasance.

  I see a bunch of people in this thread picking bones with Yanis' word usage. I upvoted the best of those that are simple, straightforward, and focus on what they want instead of what they don't. The legit way to go negative is to demonstrate real tangible harm, and not just tell me you don't like it. You don't like the word? Well boo fucking hoo your little boo boo.   That bill had just been introduced. It is a loooooong way from passing. No need to panic. This is not our doom yet. Now is the time to give those representatives a call, mention the bill number, and tell them in a few logical and polite sentenses why this bill is a terrible idea. Fuck this bill. And it's not going to be too late to use the less polite methods later. We lose nothing by trying to be polite first.
