    Mountain air is pretty great. Also a big fan of the smell of allspice. I remember as a child climbing on the kitchen counter to reach the spice cabinet so I could crack that jar and get a good whiff.

    > 'Man' is often used in the same way as 'mankind' Yes, which is why without the "a" it doesn't work. "A small step for mankind, one giant leap for mankind" is nonsensical. He was saying he (a man) was literally taking a step with his leg, but it was a figuratively large step for the species because of _where/how_ he was taking that step.

    I have an old Sony Vaio laptop that I’m trying to get Mint Xfce to work on. I needed to use compatibility mode when originally booting from the USB in case that’s relevant. The issue I have is that after the mint logo, it’s just a black screen. A hard reset and starting in recovery mode will work, but I’d like to not have to go through recovery mode every time. I’m assuming it’s a driver issue with the Nvidia card (GeForce 310M), but the Driver Manager just shows a checkmark saying no driver...
