Rogue Project's Friendica Online After about 8 hours or more of work I have finally gotten the Instance back online. Unfortunately there was some data loss. Though all user accounts are still available and everything appears to be up and running smoothly now. One huge hurdle I have had is that the developers of Friendica use Ubuntu by Canonical. I will not use anything from Canonical personally. I prefer the RHEL side of the spectrum. My workstations are Fedora which is RHEL upstream. My VP...

@floe@hci.social The fact that you are using a marketing term cloud as if it was an actual technological term is a bit dissuading to me. I cannot take this seriously. Though I wish you the best of luck!

@Taweret@timeloop.cafe There is only one Internet, social media does not make up the entirety of it. It is just a small feature. There is so much more. I hope you are not using the internet solely to be on social media.

Which is something I already do on my friendica instance. A small Instance as @stux says he is running is not going to have a lot of feature requests, or even maintenance. It is just shared between a few friends. @bigiain wrote: For some people and some use cases, being able to tell your friends "It's just a private Mastodo...

@SiRrogueKnight@noauthority.social I would like to apply for the position of bartender in your ghost town! I have very few requirements. A place to sleep, a storage room with cot out back would be fine. A high speed internet connection and of course a huge ridiculous salary ๐.

@kanenas What are you going to use Nextcloud for? If you have a lamp then you can install the same web apps on it that you would next cloud. Is there something very specific about Nextcloud that you feel you need?

@kanenas I am sure that you would be competent enough if you get this book. Podman For DevOps . Keep in mind that both Docker and Podman use OCI containers and a container built for either works with either. Also because podman was developed to be very docker compatible, anything you have already learned to do with docker is still applicable. Though I would ask you why you feel you need Nextcloud AIO? I would also suggest that you build them in separate containers, you are running the entire s...
