nice. dozens of git and git-lfs processes, filling up my disk. I deleted a huge .git/lfs/tmp directory and freed up over 200GB but then these processes re-appeared and started filling it up again. Basically this: https://github.com/git-lfs/git-lfs/issues/6303 I guess it's visual studio code's git integration. Fantastic. #computersarebad

There used to be a "Quick access" sub-heading in File Explorer (or whatever it is called) but it's not there anymore. I'm reading a recently published novel that's quite popular right now, and the first-person narrator (reliable, I think -- they are supposed to be "smart") describes another character as being from "the dust bowls of California" I'm 25% through the book and this one merely makes the top-10 of dumb sentences/phrases.

why does Microsoft Teams (on Windows) have it's own audio settings/volume that are completely independent? as in, when I adjust system audio volume up/down it has absolutely no effect on Teams audio volume level. Make it make sense. #computersarebad

I really wish that Mad Magazine hadn't (effectively) stopped publishing in 2019 (they stopped creating new material). So many public figures around in 2026 that I'd love to see riduculed and mocked (gently or otherwise).
