  How do you find the meds? Anyone tried non-stimulants? So I’m in titration and I’m currently on Vyvanse 50mg. I’ve already tried methylphenidate up to around 60mg I think, but they just made me jittery. The Vyvanse doesn’t seem to be a whole lot better. I guess I feel ever so slightly better but it’s somewhat of an out-of-body experience and I feel the crash before the end of the work day. What I really wanted help with was my memory and context switching, and to be able to speak more clearly....

  I hate this argument every time I see it. It could be used to justify so many terrible prejudices that we’ve been trying to get rid of for decades. I got robbed by a black man once so should I now treat all black men as potential criminals?

  Speaking French like a native is so hard. They basically smush every word together into one long sound. I think the French also may not just say “two croissants please, you need to stick a “je prendre” in front or something. I know people who speak fluent French who still can’t speak to the locals in certain places because they can’t understand you unless you get the accent just right.

  I get what they’re trying to say though. So many people think they need to keep up with other by having a constant supply of new clothes and a modern luxury car, etc. People will take credit to breaking point just to keep up with other people who are doing the same thing. I’ve done it myself and it took years to dig myself out. Now I take comfort in knowing that I’m not scared to open the mail because I have enough saved to handle any surprise bills.   Why are these companies wanting to pay to infuriate me? If I want to watch something and I’m suddenly interrupted by a 90 second unskippable intrusion I’m not going to have a positive relationship with your company.

  No point getting upset about this, it’s inevitable. So many FOSS programmers work thanklessly for hours and now there’s some tool to take loads of that work away, of course they’re going to use it. I know loads of people complain about it but used responsibly it can take care of so much of the mundane work. I used to spend 10% of my time writing code then 90% debugging it. If I do that 10% then give it to Claude to go over I find it just works.

  With the new login screen coming and the unified theming engine allegedly close, I hope the Discover app gets redone. I find it pretty slow and ugly, especially compared to the Gnome equivalent (whatever it’s called). It gives me constant errors about useless stuff as well, I often find an app in there and just download it in the command line.
