  So, in random cat news... there was actually a random cat this morning. It was yowling and running around the neighbourhood. My first thought was "At least it's quieter than Pippin". It was a very fluffy cat. I struggle to think of fluffy cats being strays. Like if I were a fluffy cat out on the streets, I'd at least shave my fluff into a mohawk. After trolling us with a few passes like Bruce from Jaws, it headed back up the street and into some residence.

  For random reasons, I was watching Tom Waits interview videos the other night. He used the line: "I'd rather a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy." I thought it was such clever wordplay. Apparently it dates back to a book from 1965. #TomWaits

  As keen as I am to declare the AI industry is a giant con, and that the leaked financials of Anthropic are proof of this ($4b revenue for a $40b loss, and $500b of future spending commitments) ... they were the 2025 numbers. I am inclinded to wait for 2026. For a few months in early 2026, there was a lot of "tokenmaxxing" which will make a rosier picture, but I also suspect that's well over now. #Anthropic #AI #AIBubble #LLMs

  Maybe it's my fault for building it up, but Godzilla vs Biollante isn't happening. Once Fishing Kid realised my copy was Japanese language with no English dub, hesitation set in. And they had already suggested Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, so now that's the new Wednesday night movie.
