If this is like the tobacco industry policing itself when it came to cancer, or the petroleum industry doing the same thing when it came to pollution, then we are fully and absolutely screwed. https://ground.news/article/trump-says-tech-leaders-have-signed-an-ai-accord-that-will-involve-self-policing?utm_source=mobile-app&utm_medium=article-share

Almost 200 dengue fevers cases in the Tampa area…I’m afraid this is just what will become one of a great many outbreaks of lesser known pathogens, with the spread of mosquitoes due to climate change. https://ground.news/article/dengue-fever-outbreak-triggers-states-of-emergency-in-3-southern-counties_925ea0?utm_source=mobile-app&utm_medium=article-share

I have several good recipes for sea bass, but I do have to wonder exactly how they cooked the tech titans… https://apnews.com/article/trump-xi-state-dinner-menu-fashion-d005bcd1ce76fdcd9d94c6b3d18a457e?utm_source=app&utm_medium=iOS_share&utm_campaign=copy_link

#MedicarePartD There are going to be a lot of angry voters when they get in the mail what I got today, which is the statement for my Medicare Part D drug coverage for 2027. My monthly premium is literally doubling, and the co-pays are going up. I’m glad I have a little padding in my income, but I just bought a car after living eight years without, so I have car and insurance premiums every month. I really feel for those seniors who are living on less than I am, paycheck to paycheck.

This is very disquieting. But we fought through the Anita Bryants and Jerry Falwells of this world, and we can do so again. No matter who you are, there will always be someone who doesn’t like you. I just ordered a custom bumper sticker. It is a rainbow flag with the words. “Save a Rainbow Kiss a Fairy“ printed on it. https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2026/09/fewer-schoolchildren-view-gayness-as-positive-one-scientist-has-a-theory-about-why-that-is/?utm_campaign=daily-newsletter&utm_medium=em...

Pass this along to everyone you know. Chief Justice John Roberts has broken the law multiple times annually in mischaracterizing his wife’s commissioned income from law firms that actually appeared before him in court (over 500 times!), and refusing to recuse himself. This is no small matter… It includes felonies and totals over $10+ million over a decade. https://cmarmitage.substack.com/p/the-chief-justice-and-his-wife-took?utm_medium=android&triedRedirect=true

Just pluck a number out of the air… or throw a bottle of ketchup at the wall and see what sticks. "There is no detail because Trump just made this number up,” another US source told Euronews. Via Euronews: 'No strategy' behind Trump's withdrawal of NATO troops from Germany, sources say https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2026/05/03/no-strategy-behind-trumps-withdrawal-of-nato-troops-from-germany-sources-say

#CBP #UniversalSurveillance “Subsequent to prior knowledge” & “suspicious driving patterns“ are some euphemisms that law-enforcement uses to describe a traffic stop requested by CBP or other federal agents from surveillance cameras and license plate readers. It seems that they can now stop you anywhere for any reason and get away with it. This is scary as shit. Big Brother is here. https://apnews.com/article/immigration-border-patrol-surveillance-drivers-ice-trump-9f5d05469ce8c629d6fec...

#SweetCharity #SteelMagnolias #CanCan #IrmaLaDouce #WhatAWayToGo #TheTurningPoint #GuardingTess #TheseOldBroads And man could she dance! Back in the 70s she did a show from the Moulin Rouge in Paris where she danced, spoke and sang her way across the stage introducing 6 foot female dancers around her, towering over her. I watched it with my mother and we were both enthralled. My fav movies: Steel Magnolias, WhatAWayToGo!, Can-Can, Irma la Douce. https://insidefame.com/article/shirley-maclaine-t...
