@brib @wordsmith regarding companies house combination of shit data, batch processing and legal because the data was shit and manual reviews. I agree that safeguards especially around corporate communications should disincentivise and possibly flag excessive usage out of hours but there some of us in Ops that have to use these systems out of hours and we don&#39;t want our comms cut off because someone in HR has decided it is sleepytime :) So there needs to be nuance :)

@neil nope because at the time Lycos has a beta site that was just the search engine and didn&#39;t try to be a portal and was very similar to what would become Google (as in binning the portal crap) and was so much faster :)

Not that we would do such things.... that would be silly, like taking half the front end off to swap a dynamo in the the Argos car park in Yeovil, as to to do that you need to take the fan, dizzy off etc to get the dynamo out and then retime the whole engine.... (that was day 2) Those pop up stools can make handy improv workbenches though...
