<p>I was recently reminded that I don&#39;t have a profile here so let&#39;s fix that. I&#39;m quite random in what I post. I love reading, tech stuff, and food. I don&#39;t do politics, so if you&#39;re looking for someone who stays out of the debates and other things, that would be me. I have a hamster named Marshmallow, so from time to time I&#39;ll mention things she&#39;s done. Any other questions, feel free to reach out and ask.</p>

    Many of you already know this, but it&#39;s now official. In a couple of hours I will be taking posession of an 8-month-old callico kitty! Currently her name is Olive, but I&#39;m going to be changing it to Cara, which is Italian for beloved. I got to hold her for a little bit a few minutes ago and now she&#39;s on her way to the vet to get her first shots.     I just had to give Cara some antibiotics. It&#39;s definitely a challenge to keep 4 feet and a mouthfull of teeth out of the way, while trying to get her to open her mouth so that I can get the syringe in and push the plunger. That&#39;s almost a two-person job! She&#39;s not very happy with me at the moment now though. She slept with me all night last night and she&#39;s been my little shadow, but I suspect she&#39;s going to stay clear of me for the next little while.

    I haven&#39;t had to leave my apartment since I got Cara on Friday. Tomorrow I have to go out. I&#39;m trying to figure out a way to make sure that Cara doesn&#39;t try to run out the door as I&#39;m leaving. I don&#39;t want to put her in her carrier for the times when I&#39;m out, but I definitely need to find some way to temporarily keep her in here as I&#39;m leaving.

    Cara is turning into a very affectionate kitty. I&#39;ve gotten the exposed belly more than once now and in the middle of the night she crawled up on me and started nuzzling my ear. I still feel bad having to put her in her carrier if someone&#39;s coming over so that she doesn&#39;t run out, and for leaving her alone yesterday and again today. Her mews are so pathetic! I thik that most of this comes from the fact that she&#39;s still so new and I&#39;m afraid that she&#39;ll end up not bonding...

    Sorry everyone but I just have to tell another Cara story before I go to bed. I&#39;m sitting here on my couch with my wireless keyboard in my lap and my headphones on. Cara apparently didn&#39;t want me to have my headphones on because I wasn&#39;t focusing on giving her attention. So, she decided that she&#39;d attempt to get my headphones off by crawling onto my head, while meowing at me the entire time. This cat is crazy! SMILE!

    @Marvella@dragonscave.space That&#39;s the traditional Google Play Store where you can download and install Android apps. For example, you could get the Kindle app and install it. These days it works quite well.

    @Bruce I&#39;ll tell you what&#39;s going wrong today. I can&#39;t access my online Social Security account. Guess why? If you guessed that it&#39;s because of my phone number change you&#39;d be correct. I updated my number with Social Security, but they don&#39;t have the ability to change the phone numbers for online accounts.

    @Bruce Ah. BTW, whatever card we were using for Shaw isn&#39;t working and Shaw wants their money. Apparently we&#39;ve got an overdue balance, but I never received anything from them previously so I don&#39;t know.

    Did Whatsapp for PC just get a major update? I&#39;m currently not able to do anything with it at all. The correct scripts are loading but it&#39;s not reading anything.

    Several days ago I wrote about my WhatsApp for PC not working with JAWS 2026. Today I decided to reinstall JAWS 2026. The odd thing is that JAWS 2026 is not listed in my add/remove programs. I have JAWS 2023 through 2025, but 2026 just isn&#39;t there. I never realized how much I use WhatsApp for PC until it stopped working. So I&#39;m going to try to reinstall and see what happens. And it&#39;s definitely something with JAWS 2026, because JAWS 2025 reads it perfectly.

I gave some suggestions but then the site building was passed on to someone else. Earlier this year or late last year I went to the site because I was checking whether they were open or not due to weather.     The other day I fell for an extremely realistic fraud scam. I will never be accepting any so-called deals over the phone again, but I also want to limit the calls that I get. I had the unknown caller thing turned on for my iPhone, but it kept causing me problems because the traditional two-finger double-tap doesn&#39;t accept the call. Does anyone have any idea how this feature actually works and what I have to do with VoiceOver to make it work? I&#39;m just so tired of all this!

    I blocked the scammer that I was dealing with last weekend, but he created a new number and started messaging me again today. I don&#39;t want to do it but I may have to change my phone number.

    Well, I did it. I gave up the phone number I&#39;ve had for close to eight years and I now have a new number. I&#39;m going to be reaching out to people to give out my new number, but if you&#39;ve had my previous one feel free to contact me to get the new one.

    Yesterday evening someone came over and we built a bowl trap to try to encourage Marshmallow out. This morning she was in the trap safe and sound. She&#39;s not happy right now though and she&#39;s still trying to escape, but it won&#39;t happen if I have anything to say about it.

    I&#39;m looking on Uber Eats to see if any of the pet stores will deliver a cage. The search term I used is hamster cage. One of the options that came up for me is Nuburger restaurant. Is this supposed to be telling me what&#39;s really in their burgers?

    I&#39;ve created my very first meme. I even took the pictures. I had CoPilot create the picture, but I told it exactly what I wanted it to say and how I wanted it laid out. The alt-text descriptions are from CoPilot, not from me. Hopefully this works.
