I had a Russian philosophy teacher who talked about the Soviet Union this way. He was pretty down on the whole thing and used his doctoral studies as an excuse to flee to France before emigrating to the States. I wonder if we could have communism for the girls and the gays and voluntary pocs, and the white boys can play army.. or uh, nazis.. or uh, whatever they call their fashy economy.. @chuntiproletariat

I have been absent from the Internet most of July and now August. Well, the social part of the Internet. mh- a lot the last couple months, people around me are depressed and depressing... i&#39;m sad and tired and lonely but the people i have around to hang out with are worse off than me.

I have this weird tendency, when I come up with a solution to a problem that I don&#39;t need to solve yet; I still implement it (for practice, and as a useful distraction) then set it aside. As these &quot;unneeded solutions&quot; begin to pile up, and I need to reduce the overall codebase for maintenance and whatnot, these are some of the first things that get cut; after all, if I didn&#39;t get around to the problem they were written to solve, I must not need them.
